1. At once}^{= తక్షణమే/ వెంటనే
   a) Your mother wants you back home at once.}^{(మీ అమ్మ నిన్ను వెంటనే ఇంటికి రమ్మంటోంది.)
   b) They want to leave this place at once.}^{(వాళ్లిక్కడి నుంచి తక్షణమే వెళ్లిపోవాలనుకుంటున్నారు.)}

^{2. Immediately}^{= వెంటనే (without any delay)
a) As the baby had a fever she called the doctor immediately.}^{(బిడ్డకు జ్వరంగా ఉండటంతో ఆమె వెంటనేడాక్టర్‌కు ఫోన్ చేసింది.)
b) Immediately after seeing the letter he started for home.
(ఆ ఉత్తరం చూసిన వెంటనే అతడు ఇంటికి బయల్దేరాడు.)}

^{3. Right away = at once}^{= తక్షణం - At once, right away and also straight away.}^{ఈ మూడు కూడా తక్షణం అనే అర్థంతో వాడతాం. అంటే ఇందులో immediately కంటే కూడా
urgency}^{ఎక్కువ.
మనం ఏదైనా urgent గా (అసలు ఆలస్యంగా లేకుండా) చేయాల్సి వస్తే}

To rush}^{= హుటాహుటిన/ ఉన్నపళంగా బయలుదేరడం.
To rush something = దేన్నయినా urgent}^{గా పంపడం.
The air force is rushing food and clothes to the areas in floods.}^{(వైమానిక దళ సిబ్బంది వరదల్లో ఉన్న ప్రదేశాలకు ఆహారం, వస్త్రాలు అతి వేగంగా}

^{4. As soon as = ఇది కూడా వెంటనే అనే అర్థం ఇస్తుంది. అయితే, At once/ right away/ straight away/ immediatelyకంటే కాస్త urgency}^{తక్కువ.
a) As soon as he saw the police he ran away.}

^{(పోలీస్‌లను చూసిన వెంటనే/చూసీచూడగానే}^{అతడు పారిపోయాడు.)}

^{5. Lose no time in doing something = వెంటనే చేసేయడం (ఆలస్యం లేకుండా) Lose}^{(Present tense) - Lost (Past tense) - Lost (Past participle).

^{6.There and then/ then and there}^{= అక్కడికక్కడే, అప్పటికప్పుడే/ ఉన్నపళాన
   a) She saw the jewel, and thought she should have one such then and there.
         (ఆ నగ చూసిన ఆమె అప్పటికప్పుడు తనకు అలాంటి నగ ఉండాలని అనుకుంది.)
   b) Vineela stand have given it to Suneethathen and there.}^{(వినీల దాన్ని సునీతకు వెంటనే ఇచ్చేసి ఉండాల్సింది.)}

^{7. On the spot}^{= తక్షణం.
     a) They want on the spot payment.}^{(వాళ్లకు తక్షణ చెల్లింపు కావాలి.) (on the spot = ఉన్నచోటనే)
     b) Seeing that they did not like him, he resigned on the spot.}^{(వాళ్లకు తను ఇష్టంలేదని గ్రహించి వెంటనే/తక్షణం అతడు రాజీనామా చేశాడు.)
     c) The police fined the driver on the spot.}^{(పోలీసులు డ్రైవర్‌కు అక్కడికక్కడే జరిమానా విధించారు.)
8. In a jiffy}^{= క్షణంలో
    a) A: Don't trouble yourself. I don't want coffee}^{(బాధపడకు. coffee వద్దు.)
         B: No trouble at all. You will have coffee in a jiffy.
             (Trouble ఏమీ లేదు. కాఫీ ఒక్క క్షణంలో చేస్తాగా.)
    b) However rich you are, you can't get a car in a jiffy.}^{(నీకు ఎంత డబ్బున్నా, car ఒక్కక్షణంలో రాదు.)
    c) Nobody becomes great in a jiffy.}^{(ఎవరూ ఒక క్షణంలో గొప్పవాళ్లు కాలేరు.)
9. Instant}^{= తక్షణం.
    దీనివాడకం Instant coffee, Instant map}^{లాంటి వాటిలో చూస్తుంటాం. ఇవి మనకు పరిచయమే కదా.
    a) An instant decision on such matters is impossible.}^{(అలాంటి విషయాల్లో తక్షణ నిర్ణయం అసాధ్యం.) (Decision = నిర్ణయం)
   b) The minute I saw him I had an instant dislike for him.}^{(అతడిని చూడగానే నాకు తనంటే ఆ క్షణాన్నే అయిష్టత కలిగింది.)
       దీనిలాంటిదే మరో మాట - instantaneous దీని అర్థం కూడా తక్షణమే
The accident caused his instantaneous death.
(ప్రమాదంలో అతడు అక్కడికక్కడే మరణించాడు.)}

^{తక్షణం/ వెంటనే అనే అర్థంతో పైమాటలే కాకుండా మరికొన్ని మాటలు కూడా ఉన్నాయి.
a) In no time: Sulekha heard the news of her friend's success and was in no time was}^{congratulating her.}^{(తన స్నేహితురాలి విజయం విన్న వెంటనే సులేఖ ఆమెను అభినందించింది.)
b) It's time for my train and in no timeI will be leaving for the station.}^{(నా ట్రెయిన్ సమయం అయ్యింది, నేనిప్పుడేబయలేదేరుతున్నా.)}

^{ఇదే అర్థంతో, అంటే వెంటనే / తక్షణం అనే అర్థంతో ఇంకో}^{expression - right off.
a)}^{The minute the teacher asked the question, he gave the answer right off.}^{(టీచర్ ప్రశ్న అడిగిన వెంటనే అతడు సమాధానం చెప్పేశాడు.)
b) I cannot say right off when I will be starting my business.}^{(ఎప్పుడు వ్యాపారం ప్రారంభిస్తాననే విషయం ఇప్పటికిప్పుడు/ ఈ క్షణంలో చెప్పలేను.)
దీనికి సంబంధించిందే, ఐతే అర్థంతో మరో మాట చూడండి. Right off my head, (ఇప్పటికిప్పుడు అనే అర్థంతో)
a) Is he a computer to give you the information right off his head?}^{(ఇప్పటికిప్పుడు/ నువ్వు కావాలనుకునే సమాచారం ఇవ్వడానికి అతడేమన్నా కంప్యూటరా?)
b) He is so through with the subject that he can tell you anything about itright off.}^{(ఆ విషయం గురించి ఏదడిగినా వెంటనే చెప్పగలిగేటంత క్షుణ్నంగా తెలుసు అతడికా విషయం.) ఇందాక As soon as = వెంటనే అనే phrase చూశాం కదా? అదే అర్థంతో వ్ని No sooner... than అని వాడొచ్చు. అయితే No sooner... than వాడేటప్పుడు subject ముందు verb వచ్చేలా చూసుకోవాలి.}

^{Bought = did buy గా రాస్తే, did తర్వాత subject 'he' వస్తుంది. అంతే కాకుండా, No sooner తో than తప్పక వాడతాం, sooner, comparative degree}^{కాబట్టి అప్పుడు.
